Accommodations Handbook
Prometric Accommodated Testing Registration
Should you choose to register your student for an accommodated SSAT offering with Prometric, you will be required to either visit Prometric's scheduling website (https://proscheduler.prometric.com) or call Prometric directly at 800-967-1139 to schedule your student's test date, time, and location. This requirement is to ensure the test center where you are attempting to schedule testing has the appropriate resources and an available time slot to accommodate your student's testing needs. Please be sure to have the corresponding eligibility identification number on-hand as this will be needed to schedule online or over the phone. The corresponding eligibility number can be found by expanding the selection for the completed registration under the "My Tests" section of your online SSAT account.
It is important to note that not all Prometric locations are able to offer a separate room for individualized testing needs such as access to a human reader, scribe, and the like. In such situations, it may be best to call Prometric directly to best understand what testing options are available for your student. Any test to be taken with assistive personnel (reader/scribe/etc.) should be scheduled out at least two weeks from the date of scheduling to ensure you are able to provide Prometric with the contact information for the person identified to assist your student on test day. If this information is not received by Prometric at least 10 days in advance of testing, the adult assistant may not be permitted to enter the testing environment with your student on test day.
Once you've scheduled with our partner, Prometric, please be aware of the following if you need to reschedule your test date, time, and/or location:
- Within 3-28 days of your appointment, there will be a $49 change fee.
- Rescheduling is not allowed less than three days before a scheduled SSAT.
- Prometric testing can be scheduled for test dates up until July 19th (each SSAT testing season ends July 31st).
Please be advised that once any test has been scheduled with Prometric, the registration will become locked.
As a result, it is not possible to modify the accommodations associated with an existing registration after your student's test has been scheduled.
- Should it become necessary to modify any “locked” Prometric registration to either add or remove accommodations for a scheduled test date, you will be required to cancel the existing Prometric appointment to allow for your student's accommodations to be updated in Prometric's system. You may cancel by returning to Prometric's Proscheduler website or calling Prometric directly. After cancellation, please email EMA at TA@enrollment.org to request the updating of your student's accommodations in Prometric's system. Once your student's accommodations have been successfully updated, testing will need to be rescheduled directly with Prometric online or over the phone; however, the previously scheduled test date, time, and/or location cannot be guaranteed for any rescheduled test.
Questions?
If you have any questions or concerns about your family's ability to provide anything needed for your student to complete testing, please contact EMA immediately and well in advance of your scheduled test date.
