Accommodation Approval Timeline
- The timeline for accommodation application approval is generally based on whether your student will be required to submit documentation for EMA review or qualifies for Direct Access and will not require the submission of supporting documentation. Note: The online application form will indicate whether or not your student's application requires supporting documentation or qualifies for Direct Access.
- Documentation required? Please allow up to two weeks for EMA's accommodation staff to review and process your student's request for testing accommodations from the date EMA has received all required items, including the student's supporting documentation, the approver's online approval form, and the requisite approver identification form. Often, applications are approved much more quickly; however, some applications may take longer if documentation is missing or incomplete.
- Documentation not required? A review by EMA's accommodation staff is not necessary. The application will be considered complete once your approver has submitted their online approval form and identification form. Generally, this happens within a matter of days, but it relies significantly on your approver; therefore, EMA recommends contacting your approver following application submission to confirm receipt of their requested approval via email.
- Accommodations must always be approved BEFORE registering for the SSAT.
