Amy is the director of admission at her alma mater, Ransom Everglades School (FL), where she has also taught and coached. Prior to joining Ransom Everglades in 2002, she spent five years teaching high school English and coaching volleyball, basketball, and track at Miami Country Day School (FL). She was also a teacher and dean of students for the Breakthrough Program, which is designed to inspire at-risk middle school students to recognize and reach their full potential. Amy is very involved in her local community, and serves on -- or has previously served on -- advisory boards for The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Young Viscayans, and Junior Opera Guild. She has also been an active volunteer for The Overtown Youth Center, Women of Tomorrow, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and Dream in Green. She was named as one of the Top 30 rising stars and young leaders in the City of Miami and was recently named to the Ransom Everglades School Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame. She has served on our ALC and was co-chair of The Enrollment Management Association CbT (Computer Based Testing) Committee. She graduated from Florida State University with a BA in English and education and a minor in Spanish.
