SSAT Application Service
The Application Processing Service is now open for 2009-2010.
The standard Application for Admission for Independent Boarding and Day Schools has been designed to simplify the admission process for student applicants and the teachers who must complete recommendations. It was developed to make applying to independent schools easier and faster, and it is accepted by most SSAT member schools.
Here's how it works:
Search for Schools:
Use the SSAT School Search to find a school to which you want to apply. You must select a school before filling out an application form. Click on the link in the school's page to activate the application process. Applications may be submitted by students in grades 5-12/PG for entrance to grades 6-12/PG only.
1. Student Information
Complete this form online and file it with your application fee (payable by Visa or Mastercard) via our secure server.
2. Student Questionnaire
Complete this form online. This section includes a series of short essay questions.
3. Parent Statement
Your parent or guardian should complete this form online.
4. Teacher Recommendation Forms
School, English, Math, Academic Record/Transcript
Download personalized teacher recommendation forms and distribute to your current teachers for completion. Only one set of forms is required per student - irrespective of the number of applications filed.
5. School Supplement
Several schools require that you submit an additional page of information as part of your application. Download the personalized form and fax/mail to SSAT.
Manage Your Account
After you have successfully submitted an application, you will receive a confirmation with your SSAT Account login. Use the SSAT Account Management to keep track of all your pending and completed applications.
Applying to other schools?
Simply repeat the process - the information on new application forms will be pre-filled based on your original application. You may file as completed or edit your information before submitting to new schools.
